BOULDERING LEAGUE WEST LOOP!

BKBouldering League is a 5-week team competition for climbers of all levels. Each Monday, 14 new boulders drop. You and your teammate will have one session to log tops and zones for points. Your lowest week is dropped—perfect if you’re traveling.

  • Teams of 2, no subs
  • 4 Divisions: Rec, Intermediate, Advanced, Youth
  • Scoring: Tops = full points, Zones = half points
  • Finals for top teams in each division
  • Tiebreakers decided by hardest tops

League Format
• League runs from Monday, July 8th through Sunday, August 4th; Finals on Friday, August 9th
• Teams of 2 Climbers / Team Members can be any level
◦ No substitutes allowed
◦ Lowest week’s score will be dropped for each climber (Note: Week 1 requires both teammates present. However, teams may opt to use their drop week for Week 1 for both teammates.)

• 3 to 5 Divisions, broken down by skill categories
◦ Divisional placement will be determined by organizers after Week 2 or enough data is gathered
• All individual scoring MUST be done in a single session (same day) during the designated week with holds touched for the first time. 
◦ Tops will count for 100% of problem points
◦ Zones will count for 50% of problem points
◦ Number of attempts will not be counted
• All weeks will have 14 boulder problems set every Monday

◦ Each problem will have a point value assigned (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140)
• All scores must be submitted digitally by Sunday at 8 PM (-10 point penalty for late submissions)
• Tiebreakers: Number of #14 problems topped, Number of #13s topped, Number of #12s, etc.
